Beastly Justice opens account with two wins

Serge flings a cod in Beastly Justice’s victory over Super Big Buzz-Balls at Allen Park

The first round of AATBL Season 2026 was played in a carnival atmosphere at Allen Park in Swanbourne on 22 February.

There was even a bouncy castle, funded by Serge, in honour of the birthday of his Beastly Justice teammate, BoB.

The celebrations for Beastly Justice were capped off by Serge and BoB winning both of their matches. In their first game, they eclipsed Super Big Buzz-Balls, 7-3 (Big Pineapple and SuperMario, without Buzz).

Their other encounter was closer, with The Singularity (RE playing sans SNHDT) and Beastly Justice going point-for-point until they reached six-all. However, BJ then took a two-point victory to close out the game 8-6, leaving BoB and Serge atop the ladder after Round 1.

Pisco Piranhas enjoyed a 7-4 victory over soft (Banker playing without Brad).

In PP’s other game Stella and Cannonball leapt to an exciting 3-0 start against Motherchucker, before fading badly, with Mochu taking the game 7-3.

Mochu’s other game saw another 7-3 result, this time with SBBB dishing out the punishment.

The Young Ones’ only one game of the day resulted in a 3-8 loss to The Singularity.

Our statistician has pointed out that the day’s scores were rather unusual, in that there were no nil results. As the lowest losing score was 3, there were no very quick games.
