After an exciting end to the home-and-away season, we head into the 2023 finals with the Burley Hurlers atop the ladder, ahead of Better than Charles by percentage only.

In their only game of the round, the Burley Hurlers beat Motherchucker 7-4.

Motherchucker slipped to fifth place on the ladder with two losses on the day, also falling 3-7 to Athletes for Life (RE and Banker sans Buzz Lightbeer).

The score was the same in AFL’s other game, but it was in the form of a 3-7 loss to the Second Eleven in the 2nd 11’s only game.

The combatants in The Battle to Avoid the Asti will be Gonad (6th place) and the Dukes of Normandy (7th), after Gonad beat the Dukes, 7-1.

Gonad came second in his other game, going down 3-7 to Better than Charles (SuperMario playing without accompaniment from Brad).
