Season 2022 all came down to the finals

The tension is palpable as the league heads toward the final home-and-away round of the 2023 season.

The Burley Hurlers are back on top of the ladder after Round 7, but so much depends on the results of the next round. According to the analysts at Sportsbet, any of the entities currently placed from first to fifth could take the minor premiership.

Better than Charles (S&M playing Bradless) defeated Motherchucker 8-5, in the only game of the round for both.

Athletes for Life (Banker and RE but no Buzz) came second, 5-7, in their tussle with Gonad.

Gonad had another close, but less successful, game against the Dukes of Normandy, the Dukes prevailing 7-6.

The Dukes had much less success in their game against the Second 11 (Cannonball in the absence of Reg and HRH Prince Andrew II), with Second 11 taking home a percentage-boosting 8-0 victory.

As mentioned in the caption above, Cannonball was no match for the Burley Hurlers, who finished their contest comfortably ahead, 8-4.
