In early September 2026, we learned of the tragic demise of our Motherchucker. He died suddenly, while trekking in Afghanistan.

When Mochu left us, he was second on the ladder with one round to go before the finals. Yes, the self-proclaimed best bocce player of all time would no doubt have told us that this year’s title was clearly his for the taking, tongue firmly in cheek.

We will miss our good friend terribly.

In honour of the three league members who are no longer with us, Muscles, Digger and Motherchucker, the Grand BOCCE Trophy has now been re-named the Muscles Digger Motherchucker Trophy.
