Dirty Three show a clean pair of heels

On the peaceful shores of the Swan, under a cloudy sky, the newly-named Dirty Three (who are actually only two, but only one of whom was present), won two and lost one in the May round, to climb to the number-one spot on the ladder. Stormboy, flying solo for the DTs, perhaps still revved up after his animated interview with RE, accounted for the Flying Pigs and the Jolly Rogers (both 7-3), but lost 7-2 to the resurgent Pittsburgh Stealers.

Results

The Squealers actually had their best day so far this year, with two wins from two starts, also accounting for the Ball Boys 9-2, but they’re still in the cellar. Perhaps they will change their name again.

The Ball Boys lost two from two, going down 6-8 to the Flying Pigs in their other game.

The Inscrotables won one of two games, beating the Jolly Rogers (RE sans the Banker) 8-6, but losing to the Pigs 7-2.  Gonad expressed the view that BP might have been distracted by the fact that he was busily painting the play, when he should have been focussing on the task at hand. “What the fuck?” said Gonad.

The Rogers are still in second place, despite the Rawalpindi Express losing both of the Rogers’ games on the day.
