As it turned out, the placings in the 2025 home-and-away season were not reflected in the finals. The minor premier was jettisoned in the prelims and the last-placed Big Wheelers made it all the way to the grand final.
The Brandy Bunch (Brad playing in the absence of HRH President Prince Andrew II) lost the Asti playoff, against Big Wheelers, largely thanks to a brilliant shot from Banker.

With TBW effectively down 5-6, Banker knocked the brandy Bunch cod out of contention, taking two points to win 7-5, and was later awarded the Stolichnaya Shot of the Day Trophy.

Barnballs played without Cannonball in the finals, as Barney had hidden Cannonball’s car keys yet again. Despite Barnballs starting with a one-point advantage, Artificial Indifference (RE playing without SNHDT) was too good, taking an 8-2 victory.

Minor premier Motherchucker carried a two-points advantage into his match against The Big LeBocce (SuperMario without Sir Justice Airwick RPG UO) and Mochu won comfortably, 7-1.

Buoyed by having side-stepped the Asti, the Big Wheelers won their next game with another 7-5 victory, this time against Barnballs, despite Barney bringing in a two-point leg-up.

SuperMario made good use of his one-point advantage in his game against Go Flat Out – or Buzz Off (Gonad and Reg, but no Buzz Lightbeer), winning 7-3, and securing a spot in the preliminary finals.

Despite Big Wheelers having finished at the bottom of the ladder at the end of the home-and-away season, they dispatched minor premier Mochu in the third game of the day, 7-4, even though the out-of-sorts Mochu had had a one-point advantage, and TBW thereby secured themselves a grand final berth.

The other prelim saw RE, starting with a one-point advantage, taking on SuperMario. It was another close game, Artificial Indifference coming out on top, 7-5.

There were no points advantages to either team in the grand final. By this time, the Big Wheelers had won three games on the day, having previously won only three games in the whole of the home-and-away season.

Artificial Indifference won 7-1, depriving TBW of the fairy-tale finish, and giving SNHDT consecutive Grand BOCCE titles.
