Serge falls asleep standing up in Round 6

HRH President Prince Andrew II chuckles while Serge snores sonorously

Maybe the rigours of the hat business have been weighing heavily on Sir Justice Airwick OSA CPAP. Perhaps his diet is lacking in essential nutrients. Whatever the cause, there were some chuckles at Matilda Bay in Round 6, when Serge fell asleep standing up and proceeded to snore loudly.

Serge did wake up from his little sleep in time for The Big LeBocce’s big game and TBL had a big result, eclipsing Barnballs 7-0.

The day’s rainy events were truncated by the fact that two entities forfeited and only two games were played. Stella and Banker were on a day trip to Gnomesville again.

Reg and Gonad say that they had to attend another pole-dancing competition, but that might not be true. You can never tell with those two. Buzz Lightbeer, of course, remains in prison in Ecuador.

The other game in Round 6 saw Motherchucker dispatch Artificial Indifference, 7-3. The forfeits of the day affected both of those entities. Mochu’s grip on the top of the ladder was strengthened by the forfeit of Big Wheelers. Conversely, the ladder position of Artificial Indifference went from fourth to fifth, as they swapped places with Barnballs, who also benefited from a Big Wheelers forfeit.

The Brandy Bunch was represented on the day (by Andy, but not Brad) and Andy claimed, in his post-game press conference, to have made a valuable contribution to his team’s 2025 prospects, despite TBB having won its only game of the day by virtue of GFOOBO’s forfeit. “I made a valuable contribution,” he said.

Also present and keenly absorbing the energy emanating from the day’s play from their nearby vantage points were 832 little black cormorants and one silver gull.

When President Andy was asked what was going on with all the birds, he replied, “Look, I made a valuable contribution.” When the interviewer asked him what he meant by that, our president said that he has always acted with the best interests of the league at heart, and that the minister has no legitimate reason to replace him with a commissioner.
