CWA chucking with accuracy

Big Pineapple shares a trademark grimace as he lofts a cod en route to defeating the Grim Reapers

Despite the Country Women’s Association having started proceedings for breach of copyright for the use of its initialism “CWA”, Big Pineapple and Sir Justice Airwick have sneaked back up to the top of the ladder with just two home-and-away rounds to go.

Unfazed by the legal stoush, our CWA (BP playing without Serge) won two games from three starts, beating the Grim Reapers 7-3 and Bad News 7-1, but losing to Sunshine 4-8.

The Grim Reapers have lodged a formal complaint with the stewards, alleging that, during their game against the CWA, Gonad used a firecracker to stir up a nearby beehive and that the ensuing swarm cost them the game. The stewards are looking into matter.

The loss to the CWA relegated the Grim Reapers to second place, but they did manage to eclipse WTF (Stella sans SuperMario) 7-4 in their other game.

Stella lost his pants in WTF’s other game, a 0-7 drubbing at the hands of Shock & Awe.

Although Shock & Awe won both of its games, its other one was at the other end of the margin spectrum, a 7-6 victory over the last-placed Bad News.

The bad news continues for Bad News. Even though they managed to beat TRIBG 7-4 (Barney playing without Brad), Reg and RE remain in last place with two rounds to play.
