President Buzz joins Dog’s Balls

Buzz and Stormboy wore coordinated outfits to Peace Grove in round 5

Round five, played at Peace Grove in Wembley Downs, saw:

  • President Buzz Lightbeer return to the the field of play after swanning about in the US for a year and a half;
  • Mobank hang on to top spot; and
  • no team with double letters in it’s name in the top three after the day’s play.

By presidential decree, Buzz attached himself to Dog’s Balls. SNHDT had hitherto been expecting to play on his Pat Malone, as Cannonball was doing some altitude training in the Massif Central. The presidential intervention was perhaps not a tangible fillip to Stormboy, as the lads came second, 4-8, to Mario’s Gonads, in Dog’s Balls’ only game of the day.

Mario’s Gonads had a day that was more successful than not, as they also recorded a 7-0 victory, by forfeit, over Reg Barney.

Their other actual game was a 5-7 loss to Resurgence.

Resurgence, however, managed two wins from two starts, the other being a 7-6 win over BBP.

The Stellar Diggers had 7-0 forfeit win over Reg Barney, but a 3-7 loss to Mobank.

The ladder-leading Mobank managed to cling onto top spot with its other result being an 8-5 disposal of BBP.
