After the dramatic impact of the new no-show forfeit rule in Round 2, the third round of the 2017 season saw each team field at least one player, thereby avoiding the sting of a 7-0 forfeit.

Heaven’s Door was represented by Serge on his Pat Malone, as Cannonball had embarked on a long hike to the US, ostensibly to work on his game.

Serge did not start the day well, losing 7:1 to the Big Guns. His match against the Pot Shots was a much closer tussle, Serge eventually succumbing 8:6.

The Big Guns won two of their three games, also dispatching the Drones 7:4, but losing comprehensively to the mouthy Circus, 7:0.

The Pot Shots’ victory over HD was the highlight of their day, as they lost their other two games, 6:9 to the Drones and 5:7 to the ladder-leading Nomads (SNHDT, sans Gonad).

 

 

Stormboy took two from two, both close games, the other being a 7:6 win over Shibumi.

Shibumi, now with Reg back on deck, also lot their only other game, against the Circus, 6:7.
