Shelter from the storm

In a move that proved wise, the league’s weather hazards subcommittee moved Round 6 to the shelter of the Vietnam Memorial Pavilion. Although it bucketed down for a while, there was enough of a let-up in the rain for day’s play to proceed.

Pizza Express (S&M and HRH Prince Andrew II sans Buzz Lightbeer) won both its games, one of which was a 7-2 victory over Rawalpindi Express.

Killer B’s were PE’s other victim, going down 5-9.

Killer B’s also came second in their other game, losing 6-9 to Go Flat Out (Reg appearing without his partner, Gonad), in GFO’s only game.

Motherchucker had a comfortable 7-3 win against Banker.

His match against Rawalpindi Express was closer, but RE prevailed 7-6.

Stormballs had two close games. The first was a 7-6 victory over Banker.

Sultans of Swing had a tight contest with Stormballs, the former taking home the points with a 7-6 victory.
