April sun in Claremont

Reg didn’t get the fold-your-arms memo.

Round 3 of Season 24 was held on the treacherous north face of Parry Street in Claremont on a warm and sunny April day.

Our Dear Leader accrued two forfeits because he had accepted an invitation from NASA to play all-terrain bocce on the moon. Some commentators close to the great man have said that the world will hear the great tale of Cods in Space for years to come.

Our Dear Leader boldly going where no all-terrain bocce player had gone before.

Apart from those two forfeits, it was a day that saw some very fine bocce and closer-than-usual results.

Banker snivelled home, 7-6, in his match against Rawalpindi Express.

Banker also scored his fourth straight win of the season, beating Sultans of Swing, 7-2.

The Sultans’ other game was an epic battle with Go Flat Out (Reg, but no Gonad), and GFO took the honours, 7-6.

Reg and Gonad also scored a tasty 7-0 boost, courtesy of Motherchucker not turning up.

The other happy forfeit recipient was Stormballs.

Killer B’s dispatched Pizza Express (Andy and SuperMario, but no Buzz Lightbeer), 8-5.

Killer B’s were themselves stung, 3-8, in their match against Stormballs (Cannonball playing in the absence of Stormboy).
