After winning two from two on the treacherously sloping fields of Hyde Park in round three, Reg is atop the ladder and is the only one of four singletons not occupying the lowest positions on the ladder. Playing on what he claims to be his home ground, Reg cleaned up RE 9-3 and defeated Two Fingers of Scotch 7-4.
RE’s defeat takes him back to last place after three rounds, percentage points behind Big Pineapple, who also lost his only game of the day, a 3-7 loss to CBGBs (Cannonball and Gonad playing without Banker).
The CBGBs lost their other game of the day, a 7-4 defeat at the hands of Stingers (Barney sans Buzz and Stella), so they remain in fourth place with three wins from six games so far.
Stingers climbed from fifth place to third with two wins from two on the day, Barney also having his way with Motherchucker, 7-5 . That leaves Mochu with two wins from five games played so far and in fourth place ahead of Psychoceramics by percentage.
Psychoceramics had an interesting staffing roster for this round. Digger played the first game solo, Brad played the second game solo and Serge had a rostered day off. The lads might want to re-think this strategy, as it was not the most successful one they’ve ever devised. Digger lost 4-7 to Mochu and Brad went down 1-7 to Two Fingers of Scotch.
That saw Psychoceramics plummet from third place to sixth. Two Fingers were edged out of top spot by Reg on percentage.
