Nothing grim about the Reapers after two rounds

Motherchucker chortles through gritted teeth as he gets whipped by the Grim Reapers

The Grim Reapers continued their fine form into Round 2, taking their tally in the 2020 season to five wins from five starts.

Although we played Round 2 at Cowden Park, spitting distance from Buzz Lightbeer’s home, he failed to show up on the day, leaving Sunshine’s heavy lifting to Motherchucker. Mochu didn’t do awfully, dispatching WTF (SuperMario without Stella) 7-2, but losing 3-7 to the in-form Grim Reapers (Stormboy and Digger sans Banker).

SuperMario came close to winning WTF’s other game, losing 5-7 to Bad News. The news could have been better for Bad News in its other game, as it, too, was overwhelmed by the Grim Reapers, 3-7. Shock & Awe (Cannonball without Gonad) did slightly better against the Reapers, losing 4-7.

Cannonball was positively on fire in his other two games, playing with a confidence and rhythm that most agreed was reminiscent of Nooroopaside, whom our patron acknowledges on the home page.

Cannonball gave TRIBG a jolly good pantsing, 8-0, as opposed to the mere whipping he dealt out, 7-1, to the CWA.

Big Pineapple and Sir Justice Airwick CFC DEET, who this year are playing as the CWA, fared a little better in their other game, prevailing 7-5 over TRIBG.
