AATBL plays its first nil-all draw

Brad uses psychokinesis to propel a cod at Cowden Park

The fourth episode of our 2018 AATBL story was not without controversy. Although some of our round four games were played in a reasonably conventional manner, some saw the 7-0 forfeit penalty applied to one or more of the teams that were scheduled to play.

Brad also demonstrated how, with correct application of the powers of the mind, one can move a cod through the air with some accuracy.

Those games that were played were played at Cowden Park, West Leederville. Conditions were sunny, the turf was sloping but unremarkable and the only hazards of note were flocks of wandering children.

As neither Dog’s Balls nor Mario’s Gonads fielded a player, all of their games were forfeited. As those teams were scheduled to play each other, they each recorded a nil result for that game.

The Stellar Diggers and the Big Brad Pineapples were the only teams not to get any of the forfeit benefit. The Stellar Diggers won one of their two games, beating Resurgence 7-3. They lost their other one, 5-7, to Reg Barney (Reg, in Barney’s absence). Reg Barney “won” its other game 7-0, through Mario’s Gonads’ forfeit.

Despite some fine psychokinesis from Brad, the Big Brad Pineapples lost their other game 3-7 to Resurgence, which also snaffled a 7-0 forfeit from Dog’s Balls.

Mobank found its way back to the top of the ladder with a 7-5 win over BBP and a Dog’s Balls forfeit.
